INFLUENCE OF THERMAL MODIFICATION OF ASH WOOD PARAMETERS ON THE DIMENSIONAL STABILITY OF FURNITURE BOARDS

Keywords: thermowood, furniture panel, dimensional stability, vacuum-conductive technology.

Abstract

The paper investigates the influence of the parameters of the thermal modification of ash wood using vacuum-conductive technology on the dimensional stability of furniture boards. Experimental studies were conducted according to the second-order B-plan with temperature variations from 160 to 220°C and processing duration from 4 to 16 hours. It was found that the magnitude of the deviation from flatness decreases with increasing temperature and duration of thermal modification. According to the results of experimental studies, a regression dependence was obtained that describes the dependence of the deviation of the surface of the boards from flatness on the processing parameters. The obtained model is characterized by high accuracy and informativeness, which allows predicting the dimensional stability of furniture boards made of thermal ash wood.
